Save the Frogs Day

World Amphibian Day

On the occasion of World Amphibian Day, the Parco Pallavicino Educational Center will host a thematic program entirely dedicated to Italian amphibians, a group of animals as fascinating as they are delicate. Frogs, toads, newts and salamanders will be the protagonists of this special event. Through a clear and engaging introductory presentation, the Park’s biologist will guide children and families in discovering their characteristics, life cycle and the surprising adaptation strategies that allow them to live between water and land. During the meeting, we will also discuss the threats that today endanger these animals—climate change, habitat loss and pollution—to understand how fundamental their role is to the balance of ecosystems. Afterwards, participants will be able to observe images and natural specimens, exploring curiosities and scientific aspects in an accessible and interactive way. A valuable opportunity to get to know these often overlooked species more closely, yet essential for the health of the environment.
