Due to the unique geographical morphology of the Island and its gardens, as well as the constraints imposed by the Superintendency for Cultural, Architectural, and Landscape Heritage, access to the Castle may be challenging for people with mobility disabilities.
Visitors with certified disabilities of 30% or more are entitled to a 100% discount.
For more information on access arrangements, we recommend contacting the Terre Borromeo call center at +39 0323.933478.
To preserve the delicate balance of the museum and botanical heritage, animals are not allowed inside the Castle and the garden. Access is permitted for guide and service dogs.
The entrance ticket is the only recognized document and can be presented in paper format for groups and in paper or electronic format on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) for individuals.
The introduction of large backpacks, umbrellas, and strollers into the Castle halls is prohibited.
To protect the artworks, visitors are requested to wear small/medium-sized backpacks on the front of their bodies.
For security reasons, visitors may be asked to open their bags and backpacks at any time during the visit.
The use of voice amplifiers is prohibited.
Selfie sticks and flash photography are not allowed in any of the Castle halls, and drones are prohibited unless authorized.
Photographs and videos taken during the visit cannot be used for commercial and/or promotional purposes.
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited, except in the outdoor areas of the cafeterias where ashtrays are provided.
