The partnership between Parco del Mottarone and Vibram Trail Mottarone is strengthened with a rich program of sporting events for 2026. The aim of both entities is to enhance the territory and engage the local community in meaningful experiences, both collective and landscape-oriented.
The season kicks off with the Vibram Trail Mottarone, the trail running event scheduled for May 2nd and 3rd, starting from Stresa and Baveno and unfolding across various routes ranging from 11 to 60 kilometers within the Parco del Mottarone area.
The Vibram Trail Mottarone represents an event that brings together sport, nature, and the enhancement of the Lake Maggiore’s excellence, offering athletes a route immersed in a unique setting between lake, mountains, and panoramic trails.
After the races, the ASD Motty Green Trail will take care of the maintenance of the area for the rest of the year, as well as permanent signage along a 5-kilometer route, also suitable for families, with start and finish at Mottarone Adventure Park. In addition, a downloadable track for personal electronic devices will soon be available.
The partnership with Vibram Trail Mottarone extends beyond the main competition, with a year-round program of sporting events.
From the Shoe Test Evening in April to the Community Run in July, designed as a non-competitive race. In the height of summer, August will host the Sunrise Run, offering a highly evocative and immersive experience at dawn. The Family Run, with a date to be defined, will be dedicated to families at Parco Pallavicino. Environmental sustainability is also a key focus: the program will conclude with a plogging day and trail cleaning at the summit of Mottarone.
Sport, nature, tourism, and cultural heritage thus come together in a shared journey that confirms Mottarone as an ideal destination for authentic and engaging outdoor experiences.
