Due to the particular geographical morphology of the Island and its gardens, as well as the restrictions set by the Superintendency for Cultural, Architectural, and Landscape Heritage, access to the museum site may be challenging for people with mobility impairments.
Please note that Palazzo Borromeo is equipped with an elevator allowing access to the first-floor rooms.
Visitors with certified disabilities equal to or greater than 30% are entitled to a 100% discount.

To preserve the balance of the delicate museum and botanical heritage, pets are not allowed inside the Palace and gardens.
However, access is granted to guide and medical assistance dogs.
The admission ticket is the only recognized document and can be presented in paper format for groups or in paper or electronic format on mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) for individuals.
It is prohibited to bring large backpacks, umbrellas, and strollers into Palazzo Borromeo. Lockers and an unattended area for stroller storage are available free of charge near the ticket office.
To protect the artwork, please wear small/medium backpacks on the front of your body.
For security reasons, staff may ask to inspect bags and backpacks at any time during the visit.
The use of voice amplifiers is prohibited.
Photography is not allowed in the Berthier Gallery.
The use of selfie sticks and flash is prohibited in all the rooms of the Palace, as well as drones unless authorized.
Photographs and videos taken during the visit cannot be used for commercial or promotional purposes.
Smoking, including electronic cigarettes, is prohibited except in designated outdoor café areas where ashtrays are provided.
Feeding the animals in the gardens is not allowed.
