Starting from Saturday 15 March, the Terre Borromeo destinations reopen for the new tourist season that will continue until 2 November. A trip combining culture, nature, sport and beauty, with innovations and initiatives specially devised to satisfy every demand, for couples, families or groups.

From the Isole Borromee to the Parco Pallavicino in Piedmont, to the Rocca di Angera in Lombardy, the experiences for visitors are increasingly plentiful and personalized. This year to book your visit to the museums it is possible to choose between open date and fixed date, with advantageous discounts on entry tickets.

The major innovation of the 2025 tourist season is the opening during the month of June of the Castles of Cannero, taking their place in the historical-cultural itinerary of Lago Maggiore. Located opposite the towns of Cannero and Cannobio, on the border with Switzerland, the new museum site, originally built in the early 15th century, is the result of a huge restoration project to return it to its age-old splendour while equipping it with the most modern technologies. The narrated route can be enjoyed by downloading the audio guide and will accompany visitors intheir discovery of the evocative history of the fortress standing on the waters of the lake.

The everlasting charm of the Isole Borromee is enhanced with new projects. From this season, on Isola Madre varieties of bamboo and tree ferns enrich the plant stock composed of numerous botanical collections with species coming from all over the world. Such as camellias, which, present with around 300 specimens of 11 different species and over 60 different cultivars on Isola Madre and Isola Bella, since last season have been the object of an ambitious cataloguing projectwith the aim of identifying the extent and the cultural and botanical value of the collection in order to conserve it effectively, planning the care for and additions to the oldest and most prized specimens.

Isola Bella, famous for its Baroque masterpieces on display in the Palazzo and in the Italian-style garden, also offers a unique atmosphere when you walk through the town, surrounded by the fishermen's houses and the boutiques of the Vicolo del Fornello. There are very many views of the lake that can be admired around the island: sitting at the tables in the cafeteria in the gardens, at sunset you can enjoy an extraordinary spectacle. For a quick lunch or an aperitif, the Fornello Bottega con Cucina, located in the heart of the Vicolo del Fornello, is the ideal choice, also for those seeking a quiet corner to relax.

The offer of cuisine at the Ristorante Delfino has been extended, and from breakfast to lunch, and also in the late afternoon, a kitchen service is available with quality and authentic tastes as the watchwords. For dinner, on summer evenings, the Delfino is the ideal place for an exclusive gastronomic experience, while from the terrace the backdrop of the lake becomes the perfectsoundtrack for an unforgettable evening. At the end of the day, visitors are able to stay overnight in the Isola Bella Apartments where the fishermen's houses once stood.

While we await the opening of the Mottarone Adventure Park, envisaged for late spring, the appointment has already been confirmed with Vibram Trail Mottarone on 3 and 4 May. Anunmissable appointment for running enthusiasts, who will have the possibility of racing on panoramic trails between the Golfo Borromeo and Lake Orta, travelling along the Mottarone.
