From lunch to dinner, Ristorante Delfino is the perfect place to indulge in a relaxing break during your visit to the museums and gardens of the Borromean Islands and the attractions of Lake Maggiore, or for special dinners and exclusive events tailored to your needs. The building originally served as a guesthouse for Palazzo Borromeo and later as a hotel for travelers visiting these areas.
Today, after extensive and high-quality restoration, the original spaces in vintage style with 18th-century details and furnishings welcome guests on the ground floor with a bistro offering and on the first floor with a gourmet menu. The first option is ideal for a quick yet quality lunch with traditional Italian dishes and homemade cuisine. Here you can try the classic cacio e pepe, parmigiana, or plin ravioli with whipped butter and sage in various consistencies. Those seeking a unique experience through the discovery of original combinations and unique flavors will find it in the restaurant on the first floor.
Alongside the Italian cuisine offerings, capable of surprising with unusual pairings, there are dishes inspired by world flavors. All ingredients are fresh and carefully selected, and every preparation is homemade. The menu features three tastings “from the garden,” “from the lake,” and “from the world,” as well as true delicacies such as “foie gras crème brûlée with burnt wheat and raspberries” and “carrot like osso buco,” born from the continuous experimentation of chef Giampaolo Civitillo. In addition to the pleasure for the palate, there is the pleasure of the view over the Borromean Gulf from the large terrace, which alone is worth choosing to sit here. On the ground floor, the elegant Sala del Camino is a lounge to stop and sip a coffee or a meditation wine. To fully experience the magic of the island, the two suites Ortensia and Ninfea on the second floor are available for dreamy weekends and stays, as part of the Isola Bella Apartments offerings.
