Learning while having fun, stimulating curiosity and raising awareness among younger generations about the animal world.
For the 2026 season, Parco Pallavicino launches a new series of events dedicated to children and their families: a program designed to bring younger generations closer to the animal world through engaging, educational and entertaining experiences. A calendar of themed events will guide participants on a true journey into biodiversity: from eggs in the animal world to amphibians, from tortoises to Italy’s large predators, all the way to the fascinating universe of invertebrates and farm animals.
Each meeting is led by the Park’s biologist, Tommaso Calligarich, and combines:
Fun science for everyone: experiments and discoveries explained in a simple and engaging way.
Observe, touch, discover: images, natural specimens and, whenever possible, live animals to explore up close.
Curious conversations: moments of dialogue and discussion to spark curiosity in both children and adults.
Learning through play: small interactive activities designed to learn while having fun and experimenting with hands-on experiences.
The idea is to transform a visit to the Park into an adventure of discovery and growth: an opportunity for children to observe nature with curious and respectful eyes. This series of events is not a set of isolated appointments, but a step-by-step journey: young participants become true explorers, learning to understand nature in order to protect it. Through observations, games, moments of discussion with experts and small final challenges, each child will be able to experiment, consolidate what they have learned and feel like an active part of a project that promotes the protection of local wildlife and biodiversity. Because learning to love nature today is the first step toward protecting it tomorrow.
At the end of each session, children will be able to take part in a short final quiz – three or four light questions suited to their age – to revisit together the topics explored during the activity. Not a test, but a playful and participatory moment that helps reinforce what they have learned and makes them feel like protagonists of the experience.
