It weighs between 120 and 150 kg. It is the domestic form of the guanaco and has adapted to live up to 4000 meters in altitude. The size and shape of the ears turned inward constitute one of the distinctive features compared to the smaller alpaca. The llama can carry loads up to 50 kg and travel up to 30 km in a day.
