Curiosity
The Sarus crane can reach a height of 1.80 m and weigh from 7 to 8.5 kg. It's a monogamous species that chooses a mate for life: Checca, the Sarus crane at Parco Pallavicino, has been living here for over 30 years and has chosen humans as her companion: she performs spectacular ritual dances for them. For this reason, she doesn't tolerate the presence of her own kind.
